LifeVac Canada Inc. Donates 13 LifeVac Devices to Fresh Start Support Services in St. Thomas, Ontario

St. Thomas, ON — LifeVac Canada Inc. is proud to donate 13 LifeVac airway clearance devices to Fresh Start Support Services in St. Thomas, Ontario, helping equip the organization’s new House of Homes project with additional emergency preparedness tools for mothers and children.

LifeVac Canada extends sincere gratitude to Carolyn Bernardo, SSW, Certified Trauma Integration Practitioner, for organizing the initiative and helping bring these potentially life-saving devices to an organization making a meaningful impact within the community.

“As part of Fresh Start opening the doors of our 12-unit House of Homes project, we worked tirelessly to ensure that our moms and their children would have the safest and most worry-free home possible,” said Carolyn Bernardo. “A key component of that meant being able to equip each unit and our community space with a LifeVac device. We were confident that having this device close at hand would offer such a sense of security for our moms in the event they were faced with a life-threatening emergency.

However, this wishful endeavor would not have been financially possible for us without the support of LifeVac Canada Inc. and all those that contributed their time and energy to make this donation possible. We are and will always remain thankful to LifeVac for their generosity and willingness to support us and their community.”

The donation includes LifeVac devices for each residential unit as well as shared community spaces within the House of Homes project, helping provide another layer of protection in choking emergencies.

“We are honored to support Fresh Start Support Services and the valuable work they do in their community,” said a spokesperson for LifeVac Canada Inc. “We are proud to stand behind organizations that make safety, care, and compassion a priority. We hope these devices provide added peace of mind and increased preparedness in emergency situations. Partnerships like this help expand awareness, preparedness, and access to emergency airway clearance devices where they may be needed most.”

Fresh Start Support Services continues to provide critical support and housing resources for women and families in the St. Thomas community, with the House of Homes project representing an important step toward safe, supportive, and stable housing.
