Life Saved #2607

On July 30th, 2024, a 5-year-old girl choked on a starburst, resulting in a total obstruction. Protocol was not followed as LifeVac removed the obstruction on its first use! The child’s mother describes the incident as follows:

“Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had my LifeVac. I always make sure it’s in our pantry for quick access and in our go bag for any time we leave the house. I’ve never had to use it in the over 2 years I’ve had it- until today. My 5 and 7-year-old were sick in bed with a cold, and my 5-year-old decided to have a gummy candy snack while lying down. My 7-year-old came running in with her, telling me she was choking. I immediately grabbed the LifeVac, installed the pediatric attachment, laid her down, (at this point I noticed her upper lip and nose area were slightly blue), and tried not to panic. On the very first try, the gummy popped out in 3 large pieces. It absolutely saved my little girls life. Everyone needs one in their home and vehicle. I just happened to come across LifeVac a few years back, and quite honestly, we really didn’t have the extra money for it at the time, but we made it work because I felt in my gut that we had to have it. I live with a lot of anxiety- more so now than ever. As a Mama of two, having LifeVac in the kitchen on top of my fridge and in my car for the last few years has alleviated an immense amount of fear and anxiety. In that fact alone, it has easily paid for itself many times over. I believe so strongly in the product and what you guys are doing for people and families everywhere, and I cannot thank you all enough for being there when my little girl’s life was on the line. I don’t want to even think about what it would have looked like if I didn’t have it nearby. So thank you a million times over from the very bottom of my heart, from me and my family, and please don’t ever stop the incredible work you all are doing! You all are absolute ANGELS!”
